DFW Biodiesel has re-opened Pump #2, and is offering a premium animal fat biodiesel while supplies last!
Because animal based biodiesels are high in saturated fats, we recommend blending them with regular diesel when temperatures dip below 50 F. degrees. A B20 blend* will function well at most North Texas winter temperatures. You can add a cold gel diesel additive to your biodiesel blend, too, to further reduce the possibility of cold weather filter plugging. For all blending it is best to start the blend before the temperature drops. For the animal fat biodiesel, a beautiful 75 F degree day is perfect to make your blend right in the tank. As winter approaches, we will re-stock our B5 tank for use in all tempertures. We will keep you posted on our B99.9 feedstock base throughout the winter, to allow you to make the best choice for using biodiesel in any temperature.
*NOx reduction additive as required by TCEQ TxLED program is pre-blended.
